SIG Sauer Arresting Mechanism (Slide Catch Lever) Animation

After firing the last round, the slide is locked to the rear, in an open position.

The follower of the empty magazine raises the slide catch lever, which engages the arresting notch of the slide, and locks it to the rear (in an open position). By depressing the slide catch lever (after removing the magazine), the slide is released and springs forward into battery.
